Age: Around 25 years

Gender/Sex: Female

Appearance: Sigrid stands about 166 cm tall, and her build is rather slender though there is still a certain sturdiness to her. One can tell that she is capable of doing some hard work if she needs to. Her hair is a dark shade of blonde, and her eyes are a greyish blue. picture

History: Sigrid grew up in Lake-Town under the oppressive rule of the Master. Her family was poor, and her mother died whilst giving birth to her youngest daughter, Tilda. That means that for most of her life, Sigrid had to take care of her younger siblings since their father had to be out working to make sure they had food on the table.

After the events of the films, this AU veers off to more or less follow book canon with the added fact that Bard has daughters. Sigrid did her best to help care for the wounded after the battle of five armies, and aided her father in the rebuilding of Dale. Three years after the battle, Bard was crowned King of Dale and that made her heir to the throne. Bard ends up outliving his eldest daughter (she dies in a riding accident, unwed and childless), however, and so Bain is still the one who succeeds him to the throne in the end.

That said, this AU version of Sigrid still belongs in the movieverse even if I have modelled her life on book canon, so what it is moving toward are the events of the lord of the rings films rather than the books.

Personality: Sigrid is a rather quiet and reserved woman most of the time, though with a very warm heart and a prominent motherly quality to her. It is more or less instinctual since she spent her formative years caring for her siblings. If your character needs to be taken care of, chances are Sigrid is going to do just that. When angered she has a tendency to burst out into unexpectedly colorful swearing, she learned some not very princess-like language during the Lake-Town years. She worries a lot (probably too much), and if she cares about your character there will be fussing, you have been warned.

She has grown somewhat less shy than she was in her earlier years, but she is still not the most forward person imaginable, preferring to watch from a distance before engaging. If, however, she is approached, she will be nothing but polite unless she is given reason not to be.

With closer friends she can show a more cheeky side, teasing and playful. It takes some work to get her there sometimes, mostly because she might need a little help relaxing. She often feels a need to control herself and her reactions, not sharing what is going on inside her.

Abilities: She is a pretty damn good cook, she is pretty good at sewing as well, she can read and write Westron, shoot a bow reasonably well and knows a few dirty fighting tricks with a knife. She knows how to ride a horse, and she knows her way around boats. I have come to headcanon that she is rather good at drawing for some reason. She has a rather sweet singing voice.

Inventory: A purse with money in it.

Anything else: Nothing I can think of right now

I imagine Lake-Town wasn't a particularly pleasant place, so mentions of alcoholism and abuse might come up if Sigrid is asked to share things about her past. Since her own home was a peaceful one it is far from a given and it would be very easy for me to steer clear of such subject if you want to avoid them in your interactions with her. Just let me know and she won't mention such things in threads with your characters.
